The National Alliance on Mental Illness provides a wealth of resources, including the NAMI Helpline, which can be reached by calling 1-800-950-6264 or by emailing info@nami.org. Although the helpline is only available Monday through Friday from 10 AM until 8 PM EST, there is a 24/7 text line available. Simply text ‘NAMI’ to 741-741 for assistance.
The Feeding America nationwide network of food banks and food programs helps millions of people find food and grocery help in their communities every year. Connect with your local food bank to learn about upcoming free food distributions and to apply for national food programs like SNAP and WIC.
ShareWell is organized into peer community groups called Wells. Anyone who has personal experience of the Well topic is welcome to join the community. You might find multiple Wells of interest to you, and you are more than welcome to join them all! New Wells are constantly being added as the community grows.
Peer support sessions are virtual video calls with a small group of 3-12 people who meet to support each other in overcoming mental health issues or through big life transitions. It’s a perfect combination of healing and connection!
